When Charlotte Henagan, now 7th Grade, was in 5th grade at Ascension Christian Elementary, she worked to begin a recycling program for paper the ACE campus. Because of her example, Keep Ascension Beautiful asked Charlotte to be in a commercial with the Lt. Governor of Louisiana to promote recycling in our parish. See the video below!

2020 HOBY Representatives

High School, News

The Hugh O’Brian Youth Leadership is an organization dedicated to “training and nurturing the young leaders of tomorrow.” Raisha Kelly and Jacob Etter were selected this year to represent Ascension Christian High School at HOBY this summer. They each went through an interview process and were picked from a handful of their peers, each showing excellent leadership qualities. Lion Nation New (LNN) asked them to describe that process Jacob answered, “thrilling,” and Raisha said, “complex.” LNN then asked them what they thought makes them a good representative for HOBY. Jacob felt that he thought he displayed the definition of leadership both on and off campus. Raisha said she is able to speak her mind and can speak out in representation of our school. They both expressed their excitement about meeting new people who share an interest in leadership.
