Keanu Reeves was born in 1964 and is a Canadian actor, director, producer and musician. He was born in Beirut, Lebanon. Reeves is part Hawaiian and Chinese (father’s family). He also has English, Irish, and Portuguese descent. Keanu started his acting career at the age of 9 when he appeared in Damn Yankees. At 15, he played Mercutio in the play Romeo and Juliet. When he was 17, he dropped out of high school, obtained a green card, and went to live with his dad in Los Angeles.
His first hit major success in the late 80’s with films like Bill and Ted’s Excellent Adventure (1989) along with it’s sequel Bill and Ted’s Bogus Journey (1991). Keanu Reeves big break out film was Speed (1994). In 1999, Reeves struck gold again with The Matrix. He is a motorcyclist and co-founded Arch Motorcycles, which builds and sells custom motorcycles.

So yeah, Keanu Reeves is a pretty interesting guy. He is the type of guy you wouldn’t want to mess with too. He’s so cool that if you say Keanu super fast: it sounds like canoe. And don’t mess with his dog, because he’s also John Wick!

World Wide Web (of conspiracies)

International, News

On March 12, 2019 the day I started writing this article, the World Wide Web turned 30 years old. The World Wide Web was created by Tim-Berners Lee who is a British computer scientist.

Visual representation of the the Internet from the Opte Project

Before the World Wide Web came out, people had been sending emails, files, and ran message boards. When the World Wide Web came out, navigating through information became easier for everyone. People could now use web browsers, webpages, and hyperlinks to find information faster. In the early days of the internet, shopping became popular. Amazon, which used to be a bookstore online, became the source of online shopping, which closed down many brick and mortar stores. Netflix, which was the ultimate downfall of Blockbuster, redefined how people watched tv and movies. Netflix is the top streaming service in 2019. Reddit, which is another popular place on the internet is a place where people could start communities and find people who have similar interests. Youtube, which is a website where you can post videos is very popular website. Social media like Instagram, facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, myspace, and other websites are places where you could socialize with people around the world. The internet has changed in many years and will keep changing until a meteor destroys the planet and the internet goes extinct like the dinosaurs.

Chewbacca is Love, Chewbacca is Life

Local, National, News

February 9th, there is an Intergalactic Krewe of Chewbacchus Parade. The parade is a Mardi Gras-themed parade and hundreds (maybe thousands) of Star Wars fans are going to dress up. The Chewbaccus parade will not only have people celebrating Star Wars, but people dressing up as all characters from Science Fiction, Horror, and fantasy. It’s basically one big nerd party! There were even human brains!

Hey guys! It’s Keith. I wanted to share some things that have been happening around ACH. I interviewed Sarah Nelson last week, who said that she studies for the ACT for about 1 hour a week. She wants to tell everyone that they should study for the ACT! Who needs sleep? Just study! I also spoke to some freshman who visited the crime lab. Jacob thought that the crime lab wasn’t entertaining so it didn’t catch his interest. Brayden thought that the crime lab was a lot of fun and super interesting. I remember when I went last year; I thought it was a cool experience too. Student get to see real-life human eyeballs and people’s hands in jars. There were even human brains! They showed us the different types of drugs and the rooms where the CSI teams are stationed. Our guides explained what it’s like to work as a crime scene investigator. Overall, it was a cool experience for me when I visited. I could see how it’s not everybody’s cup of tea though. Also, don’t forget to study for your ACT, it could help you in the future! It’ll make Sarah happy!
