Baseball at Woodlawn

This past Monday, the Lion’s faced off against the Woodlawn Panthers, in Baton Rouge, for the very first game of the season. Hunter Jacobs was the guy to start the big game. The game started off with a pair of hits that drove in three runs. Jacobs walked a few people, but soon found his footing after giving up three runs. After the first inning, Hunter shut down the Panthers and did not give up another hit. The Lion offense came through as they scored 14 runs to seal the game, Although a few mistakes were made, the defense well played their game. Coach Scelfo Said that he likes where the team is at, but there is room for a lot of improvement. He added, “We have to keep focused on the goal. But overall a nice first win to set the precedent for the season to come.”
