Hebrews 2:11
“Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.”
If this verse seems a little confusing, I can clarify. The One who makes people holy is God, and those who are made holy from Him is us. And He is not afraid to claim us as a family because of the death penalty He gave.
Hebrews 4:1 also states,”Therefore, since the promise of entering his rest still stands, let us be careful that none of you be found to have fallen short of it.”
I love this! In the first verse, Jesus tells us that we are family. And since we are family, we get the peace of Jesus. I feel like that is what He is saying in this second verse. So, we have more control then we know. Ask God to show you what being in His family is like.
Jesus, your dad, has been there for you every moment. A basketball game no one in your family showed up to; He showed up. Jesus never missed a moment in your whole life. He was there for your birth. He knows where you will be 36 years from now. And right now. He is in this moment, and He knows what’s on your mind. (See Jeremiah 17:10 and Romans 8:27. They really connect!)
Thanks for reading!

Great job! Great way to break down the scripture!
This is a great elaboration of the scripture. Thank you for using real life examples to help people connect with the scripture even more.
It’s cool to know that you always have Jesus there for you.
We are all part of His family.
